The Bloody BeetRoots

These guys rule! i love the schtick with the black and white spider man masks, i love how they are bustin out behind the decks, i love how the crowd is going bananas. Bangers thats where its at. Not sure whats up with the shirtless brohaims in the begining but it is a roomfull of germans losing their minds:)

Swing Kids

God i love these guys and always have. JP looks so young in this video:) not that he has aged horribly or anything it just sort of reminds me of how this video is getting older and older. and how this seemed like a liftime ago and what was going on then. nostalgia of sorts. My favorite song too, disease, i love the disjointed free jazz at the begining and how it tightens up and then they just rage through the rest. plus the dude in the front freaking out is a plus, all other non-freakers were crossing their arms real hard i assure you.

new flavor

So lately im becoming ever more mindful of my obsession with this electro/dance banger music. I really like it ive been listening to this style of music lately non stop. Columbus needs more bangers, i think thats where things need to move too. the decision to spin more early 90's pop rap and british garage is solid. but i think next up should be this aggressive stuff. more bloody beetroots posts for sure here soon. this song is sweet and the video is cool sans cheese font and video stylizations. WK Interact

This guys is ill. He is from a small town in the south of france and moved to NYC about 15 years ago and stuck to his graf roots. Totally innovative, capturing motion and movement and interacting with the streets. He is on the cover of this months Juxtapoz with some new sculptures that are very progressive in his own style.

Daddy?

Novel idea right green tea energy drink, all the goodness of green tea but with kick. Ups to lil ms.poopvacuum for this goodie. It tasted like fizzy green tea, woke me up. I think they cut corners by using powdered green tea because it left a residue in my glass. I dont see the correlation with the daddy thing and the green tea thing. The can is a bit confusing, albeit entertaining though. Green color , stars, some graffiti lettering on it and a lion from zion at the bottom. Almost like a nod to the rastas....ahhh i get it, green tea, green can, rastas. All hail Haile Selassie Jah Rastafari.

Sinkane

This is my buddy ahmed, hes a great guy and a hard worker. i met him at the high five we both bartended there. we had some great chats about music etc. he then went on to put out a great album called "color voice" under the moniker "Sinkane" which was an ambient etheral masterpiece and in my opinion the best album of '07. he is putting out another album soon and is getting some good press, he was in spin and this link is to an interview on daytrotter
